Gorham, Ph.n�G <br />Environmental Analyst is <br />SUBJECT: Consultant Selection - Professional Services - <br />Jungle Trail Shoreline Protection <br />DATE: March 30, 2001 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The consultant selection committee, consisting of Jonathan Gorham, <br />Environmental Analyst, Terry Thompson, Capital Projects Manager, <br />and Brian Poole, Environmental Planner, have reviewed proposals <br />from qualified firms for the design and permitting of shoreline <br />stabilization along a segment of Jungle Trail. This work is to be <br />accomplished under a matching funds agreement with the Florida <br />Inland Navigation District. <br />The committee met on March 29, 2001 to rank the proposals received. <br />After considering the selection criteria, the committee recommends <br />the following prioritized short-list: <br />1. Han-Padron Associates, Tampa <br />2. Carter Associates, Inc., Vero Beach <br />3. Sea Systems Corporation, Pompano Beach <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of the above short-list and authorization <br />to proceed with contract negotiation with the first ranked firm, <br />Han-Padron Associates. <br />APRIL 10, 2001 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board <br />unanimously approved the short-list submitted by <br />staff and authorized staff to proceed with contract <br />negotiation with the first ranked firm, Han-Padron <br />Associates, as recommended by staff. <br />-74- <br />
