She credited County Engineer Chris Kafer, Public Works Director James <br />Davis, Proctor, and Weller with having done a superb job and their "can do" attitude. She <br />assured the Commissioners they will be proud of the resulting product. <br />Engineer Kafer explained some of the details concerning the cost savings which have <br />been achieved and how direct purchasing has also helped to save costs. <br />Commissioner Ginn agreed the contract manager at risk concept does seem to work. <br />Chairman Stanbridge noted that there would be no additional time required under <br />these change orders and understood the facility would be ready in October 2002. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />Change Order No. 1 to the contract with Proctor Construction <br />Company for a decrease in the amount of $239,000 and <br />approved Change Order No. 2 to the contract with Weller Pool <br />Constructors, Inc. for an increase in the amount of $225,206.35, <br />as recommended in the Memorandum. <br />April 23, 2002 <br />PROCTOR AND WELLER CHANGE ORDERS ARE ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />32 <br />
