PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS <br /> PROCLAMATION DESIGNATING APRIL 30 - MAY 4 2001 AS LA W WEEK IN <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> The Chairman presented the following Proclamation to County Attorney Paul Bangel : <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> DESIGNATING APRIL 30 THROUGH MAY 412001 <br /> AS LAW WEEK IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, May 1 ` is Law Day In the United States of America, and is set <br /> aside nationally to expand awareness of our Nation's laws and the justice system and <br /> the valuable impact they have on our lives; and <br /> WHEREAS, Law Day has expanded into Law Week, giving us tools to build <br /> citizenship and a shared concept of justice; and <br /> WHEREAS, April 30th* through May 4" is officially recognized as Law Week <br /> in Indian River County, Florida, and this years theme for Law Week is 'Protecting the <br /> Best Interests of Our Children'; and <br /> WHEREAS, through special presentations, Interactive activities and <br /> educational events, Law Week, 2001s will be dedicated to educating our community on <br /> laws that affect children and families, and to the improvement of children's lives; and <br /> WHEREAS, this year marks the 44" annual nationwide observance of Law <br /> Day, according to the official proclamation of the United States Congress and the <br /> President. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that the Board hereby designates April 30" <br /> through May 4'", 2001 , as <br /> LAW WEEK 2001 <br /> in Indian River County, and the Board calls upon all citizens, schools, businesses, clubs <br /> and the news media to commemorate the role of law in our lives. <br /> Adopted this 1 st day of May, 2001 . <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br /> Caroline D.
