Commissioner Stanbridge asked for an update on the developers who had wrongfully <br /> removed the trees along Jungle Trail . <br /> Planning Director Stan Boling advised that this site is Phases V and VI of the <br /> development . Phase IV included the wrongful tree removal along Jungle Trail . The <br /> developer has agreed to replace 5 large Live Oaks to be installed by tomorrow . There is a <br /> $ 119 , 000 bond in place for 5 years to protect the integrity of these trees . There is also <br /> another $ 35 , 000 being held for the remaining buffer landscaping of Phase IV . Once normal <br /> landscaping is installed, then it is a matter for Code Enforcement if it is not maintained . This <br /> item is a bonding out request for the final plat for Phases V and VI . The Live Oaks have <br /> been installed for Phase IV but we have not yet received written confirmation from the <br /> arborist . <br /> After further discussion, Environmental Chief Roland DeBlois noted that the <br /> developer has complied with all requirements as far as staff is concerned and it is appropriate <br /> to allow him to move forward . <br /> ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge , <br /> SECONDED by Commissioner Adams , the Board <br /> unanimously granted final plat approval for Island <br /> Club Riverside , Phases V and VI ; authorized the <br /> Chairman to sign the Contract for Construction ; and <br /> accepted the security that guarantees the contract ; as <br /> recommended by staff. <br /> CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE <br /> OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br /> MAY 19 2001 <br /> 18 I. _G <br /> -40 - <br />
