FOR MASTER PLAN 124NCH WATER <br /> MAIN ALONG OLD DIXIE HIGHWAY <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Doctor Roof, Inc. , an existing commercial business located at 5920 Old Dixie Highway, has <br /> requested the County to provide water service from an existing water main located on the east side <br /> of Old Dixie Highway, '/< mile south of 656' Street. A 12" diameter master planned water main is <br /> scheduled to be constructed along Old Dixie Highway from 65`h Street to 49th Street on an as- <br /> needed basis driven by development ( see attached copy of master plan map) . Doctor Roof, Inc . has <br /> agreed to participate in a developer' s agreement with the County to construct the master planned <br /> line and related appurtenances to serve his facility . The water main installation will comprise <br /> constructing approximately 3 , 040 linear feet of 12 " PVC and 160 linear feet of 12" DIP along the <br /> eastern Old Dixie Highway right-of-way, a point approximately '/< mile south of 65`h Street to the <br /> southwest corner of the project. JAMES R AND PHYLLIS PARKS, have agreed to enter into a <br /> cost sharing agreement with the County to construct the master planned water main. <br /> Attached is a proposed developer' s agreement with JAMES R. AND PHYLLIS PARKS for <br /> reimbursement of a portion of the subject water main . The Developer' s Agreement is stipulated to <br /> reimburse the Developer for the County ' s share of the water main based on itemized invoices of <br /> installed materials on a percentage complete basis- less 10% retainage, monthly with final payment <br /> and release of retainage at the time said facilities are dedicated to the County ( SC — I of attached <br /> agreement). Developer will be required to post a 225% payment and performance bond prior to <br /> issuance of Utility Construction Permit ( SC — 14 of attached agreement) . <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> As shown in Exhibit B of the attached agreement, the estimated cost sharing between the Developer <br /> and the County is as follows : <br /> PD:eveloper ' s Share $ L541 ? 5 <br /> ount ' s Share $ 140,347 .20 <br /> L.Total Project Cost $ 141 , 888 . 45 <br /> Doctor Roof, Inc . will pay $ 1 ,300. 00 in water capacity charges . Construction of the water main will <br /> allow the County to provide water service to future development along the improved corridor.
