• • <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in <br />this matter. <br />Bruce Barkett, representing the applicant, credited staff with a very thorough report. <br />He wanted to point out that there is no residential use on the south side of 41', east of 43' <br />The only enclave that remains is a 10 acre sliver. The property is within the airport noise <br />overlay zone. There are plans for a high-end industrial park. This makes good sense all <br />around. The property is located inside the urban services area. He asked for questions; there <br />were none. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Stanbridge, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Macht absent) adopted Resolution No. 2001-051 <br />approving the transmittal of a proposed amendment to the Indian <br />River County Comprehensive Plan to the State of Florida <br />Department of Community Affairs for its review. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 051 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TRANSMITTAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT <br />TO THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR ITS REVIEW. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian River County <br />Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and <br />WHEREAS, the county received comprehensive plan amendment applications during its <br />January 2001 amendment submittal window, and <br />May 22, 2001 <br />33 <br />
