1. Indian River County libraries have received a total of $19,855 in donations for books, supplies and <br />a new copier. The attached entry appropriates funding. <br />2. The Federal Transit Administration has awarded a Section 5307 Grant to Indian River County in <br />the amount of $548,964. This grant provides funding for the local public transportation system. <br />The attached entry appropriates funding. <br />3. Indian River County has received cost sharing grants from state agencies for the acquisition of <br />environmental lands purchased with Environmental Land Acquisition Bond funds. The attached <br />entry appropriates these funds. <br />4. Vanous software licenses need to be purchased this year. The attached entry appropriates funding <br />for this purpose. <br />5. On October 10, 2000, the Board of Commissioners approved a Derelict Vessel Removal Program <br />Grant totaling $11,460 from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The attached <br />entry appropriates these grant funds. <br />6. Some additional sporting clay machines and other improvements are needed at the Gun Range. <br />The attached entry appropriates funding from Optional Sales Tax. These funds are available from <br />other projects financed by Optional Sales Tax for which the cost was less than the amount <br />onginally budgeted. <br />7. Information Technology support billings for Circuit Court and County Court have increased <br />substantially this year. The attached entry appropriates funding from Court Facility Fees. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget amendment. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Stanbridge, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Macht absent) approved Budget Amendment <br />018, as recommended in the memorandum. <br />May 22, 2001 <br />14 <br />BK 1 i8 PS 70 <br />
