Keating, AICP r (f <br />1l <br />Community Development Director <br />DATE: April 29, 2002 <br />SUBJECT: Consideration of Draft letter to the Department of Community Affairs <br />Objecting to City of Sebastian's Adopted Land Use Amendment <br />It is requested that the information provided herein be given foinial consideration by the Board <br />of County Commissioners at its regular meeting of May 7, 2002 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />On February 27, 2002, the City of Sebastian adopted a comprehensive plan amendment changing <br />the land use designation of the fifteen acre Sembler parcel from residential to industrial. The <br />plan amendment had been requested by Christopher Kirrie. <br />Although the City of Sebastian has already adopted the referenced land use plan amendment, the <br />amendment does not become effective unless and until the state Department of Community <br />Affairs (DCA) finds the amendment "in compliance."
