Gorham, Ph.D. J G <br />Coastal Resources Manager <br />SUBJECT: Final Payment and Release of Retainage <br />US Army Engineer Research and Development Center <br />DATE: June 3, 2002 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County contracted with the US Army Corps of Engineers <br />to gather, compile and analyze data on the performance of the <br />Prefabricated Erosion Prevention (PEP) reef installed offshore of <br />the City of Vero Beach. The final report for the project was <br />approved by the Board on January 22, 2002. The attached invoice <br />represents the final payment and application for release of <br />retainage on this contract. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of the payment and release of retainage. <br />Retainage and final payment in the amount of $44,958. <br />JUNE 11, 2002 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously <br />approved the payment and release of retainage in the <br />amount of $44,958, as recommended by staff. <br />-15- <br />I <br />
