BACKGROUND <br />On January 23, 2001, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners approved <br />Resolution III, NO. 2001-010 for the preliminary assessment roll for the above - <br />referenced project Construction of the project has been completed. Owners have been <br />notified and connections have begun Staff is requesting the Board's approval of the final <br />assessment roll. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The preliminary assessment was for an estimated cost of $ 191,548.51, which equated to <br />$0.255075 (rounded) per square foot of property assessed. The final project cost and <br />assessment (see attached Resolution D/ and the accompanying assessment roll <br />ATTACHMENT 1), is in the amount of $ 185,643.32 which equates to a cost of <br />$0 247211 (rounded) per square foot. The final assessment is $ 0.007864 per square foot <br />or 3.08 % per square foot less than the preliminary assessment. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of County <br />Commissioners approve adoption of Resolution IV, which is attached and authorize the <br />Chairman to execute same. <br />LIST OF ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
