Fire hydrant systems shall be <br /> provided in all subdivisions served by a water <br /> system . The hydrants and water supply systems <br /> shall be located , designed and installed in <br /> conformance with the rules set forth by the <br /> division of utilities and the fire division a <br /> an <br /> shall be spaced to have a five - hundred - foot radius <br /> of coverage . <br /> 80 Addressing : Posting of Numbers on Buildings . <br /> Land development regulations section 951 . 07 is hereb <br /> y <br /> amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 951 . 07 Posting of Numbers on Buildings : <br /> All buildings shall have the assigned building number <br /> displayed in a manner such that the number is visible from <br /> the public or private road on which the building fronts , <br /> whether or not mail is delivered to the building . A <br /> certificate of occupancy will not be issued for a new <br /> building or structure until the building number has been <br /> displayed , in accordance with the following criteria : <br /> ( 1 ) The number must be in Arabic numerals ; approval will <br /> not be given for numbers which are difficult to read . <br /> ( 2 ) The numbering must be of a weather - resistant material <br /> and securely affixed , <br /> ( 3 ) Numerals shall be a color contra with the <br /> immediate back round material and shall be clearl <br /> readable from the ipubjjr, orrivate road on which the <br /> building fronts mh , <br /> } be—ez l e a s t c�x-ee <br /> LZ One and two - family dwellings shall nost a minimum <br /> three ( 3 ) inch numerical address <br /> (bb ) All commercial / multi - family buildings shall post a <br /> minimum six ( 6 ) inch numerical address or an all <br /> inclusive address if not readily a arent . <br /> 1cZ In addition to b ) Commercial complexes with <br /> multiple suites / units shall post a minimum four <br /> ( 4 ) inch numerical address on or adjacent to the <br /> front and rear entry door . <br /> ( 4 ) A property owner or his agent shall have the <br /> responsibility of contacting the community development <br /> department to determine the correct building number or <br /> numbers to be assigned to all buildings located or <br /> constructed on his property in the unincorporated area <br /> of Indian River County tya t <br /> of this <br /> chapter .
