Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 013 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of May 28, 2002: <br />To: Members of the <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />Through: Joseph A. Brown <br />Budget Manager <br />Date: May 28, 2002 <br />Subject: Miscellaneous <br />Budget Amendment 013 <br />Description and Conditions <br />The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following. <br />1. County hbranes have received contributions and donations totaling $15,147. The attached <br />entry appropriates these funds for the purchase of books, audiovisual materials other <br />supplies, and the book leasing program <br />2. Fire Services overtime expenditures are exceeding the amount budgeted for the current fiscal <br />year. The attached entry appropriates funding from Emergency Services District reserve for <br />contingencies. <br />3. Indian River County has received a grant from the Florida Department of Agriculture and <br />Consumer Services (FDACS) for Citrus Best Management Practices in the amount of <br />$250,000 per year. The Soil & Water Conservation District will administer this grant. These <br />grant funds are appropnated by the attached budget amendment. <br />4. The North County Pool has a projected opening date in October 2002, which falls at the <br />beginning of next fiscal year. in order to be prepared for this opening date, certain startup <br />expenditures will need to be made during the current fiscal year. The attached budget <br />amendment re -appropriates some of the funds budgeted in the current year for salaries, <br />benefits and operating expenses to startup costs. Funding is provided from the current <br />Recreation budget and Optional Sales Tax contingencies. <br />5. Various departments need to replace some vehicles during the current year.
