• <br />John Dean, 2116 27`" Avenue, gave a presentation using handouts <br />(PRESENTATION BOOKLETS ARE ON FILE WITH THE BACKUP FOR TODAY'S <br />MEETING). <br />Mr. Dean expressed his opinion that the Beuttell property should have been included <br />in the `'T" Land Use Designation at the time of the institution of that designation. He asked <br />that the letters from C. W Emanuel and Ray Smith, included in his presentation booklet, be <br />added to the record. He believed that, had the boundary line been drawn with a magic <br />marker rather than a fine line pen, the land would have been included at that time. He also <br />believed that the boundary line was totally irregular and arbitrary. <br />David Gay, 1465 6th Street, spoke in opposition to adding the Beuttell land and noted <br />that the pictures in Mr. Dean's presentation of neighboring homes are of homes that are all <br />located on 5 -acre tracts. <br />Joannie Keith stated that she has lived in the area for 16 years and has a 5 -acre tract. <br />She was opposed to the plan. <br />Steven Hughes, 7805 1st Street SW, was also opposed to the plan and felt the zoning <br />should be kept at 1 unit for a 5 -acre tract. <br />Philip Hype stated that he lives at Indian River Aerodrome and is opposed to the <br />plan. He reported that Mr. Beuttell had indicated his plans were for a quality development <br />but had also said that the property will be sold to a developer once the rezoning has been <br />approved. <br />JULY 16, 2002 <br />-77- <br />,.1 <br />• <br />
