Baird, Assistant County Administrator <br />DATE: June 25, 2002 <br />SUBJECT: Public Hearing — Ordinance Extending Local Optional Sales Tax <br />At their regular meeting on May 21, 2002 the Board of County Commissioners approved <br />holding a public hearing to extend the local optional sales tax for an additional fifteen years and <br />seven months Resolutions supporting an extension of the one -cent sales tax for up to 15 years <br />have already been adopted by all municipalities within the County (the cities of Vero Beach, <br />Sebastian, Fellsmere Indian River Shores, and Orchid). <br />JULY 2, 2002 <br />-44- <br />
