7.D. 2002 ELECTIONS CANVASSING BOARD - APPOINTMENT OF JOHN TIPPIN <br />TO REPLACE CAROLINE GINN <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of June 24, 2002: <br />To: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />Date: June 24, 2002 <br />Subject: APPOINTMENT TO SERVE ON CANVASSING <br />BOARD FOR THE FALL ELECTION <br />From. Ruth M. Stanbridge <br />Chairman <br />At the April 2, 2002 Board of County Commissioner meeting, the Board appointed <br />Commissioner Caroline Ginn to serve on the 2002 fall election Canvassing Board. Per the <br />attached memo dated June 20, 2002, Commissioner Ginn is unable to fulfill the <br />requirements to serve on the Canvassing Board and has requested that the Board appoint <br />a replacement. <br />I recommend that the Board appoint Commisioner John Tippin to serve on the Canvassing <br />Board for the fall election replacing Commissioner Caroline Ginn. <br />JULY 2, 2002 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously appointed Commissioner Tippin to <br />serve on the Canvassing Board to replace <br />Commissioner Ginn, as recommended by staff. <br />-18- <br />
