necessary to look at other issues as well <br />that would be missed. <br />She was afraid that without human interactions, <br />Chairman Ginn advised that the largest population in one district is 29,000 and the <br />smallest is 17,000. She felt adjustments were necessary but not anything major. She recalled <br />the process used by former Supervisor of Elections Ann Robinson which did not take too <br />much tweaking since there had not been much growth. She had asked Steve Demers <br />(Elections Office) to do a presentation in September at the COPO meeting and there is no <br />reason that could not be a public hearing. It had seemed a natural to have this work done by <br />COPO since it is representative of all the governments in the county. A tremendous effort <br />had been made by COPO on the traffic analysis numbers. She favored public input but not <br />hiring a consultant, which she felt was unnecessary. <br />Commissioner Adams has heard a lot of comment from the public and the opportunity <br />for them to give input is needed. What had been done already sounded good and she was <br />anxious to see results, but the ultimate responsibility belongs to the Board. <br />Chairman Ginn suggested that the second Wednesday in September (the COPO <br />meeting) would be a great time to have a public hearing and have the GIS shown to the <br />public. <br />Commissioner Adams thought the public hearing should be before the Board rather <br />than COPD. <br />Vice Chairman Stanbridge suggested an evening meeting and Chairman Ginn agreed. <br />It was decided to hold two public hearings, one during a regular Commission meeting <br />and one in the evening.
