• • <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />MGB Construction, Inc has submitted a building permit application for a single-family residence on <br />the subject property. The site is located in an AE special flood hazard zone base flood elevation <br />22.9 ft. N.G.V.D. In the attached letter from the applicant s engineer dated revision June 74, 2002 a <br />waiver of the cut and fill requirements is requested. The lot area is 1.08 acres. The volume of the <br />100 -year floodplain displaced by the proposed grading plan is estimated to be 1,081 cubic yards. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The waiver request has been reviewed by staff and appears to meet the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance for lots located in the <br />Vero Lake Estates Municipal Services Taxing Unit <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Grant the cut and fill balance waiver based on the criteria of Section 930.07(2)(d)4. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Deny the cut and fill waiver. Require an on site retention area be provided to compensate for the <br />proposed floodplain displacement. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends approval of Alternative No. 1. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Letter from Ronald G.
