<br /> Background and Analysis
<br /> The M .A. C . E . Unit is requesting authorization to utilize Project Generated Income ( PGI ) in the
<br /> amount of $ 10 , 552. 82. This M .A. C. E. Unit Income was generated from confiscated property in
<br /> drug related activities . Funds will be distributed to the Indian River County Sheriffs Office
<br /> M .A. C . E . Unit for purchase of a Board Camera Kit with 8MM Recorder ($2,607 . 56) and three
<br /> Laptop Computers with MDT and Software ($7 , 945. 26) to be used during undercover narcotic
<br /> investigations . The attached PGI Budget Narrative is a cumulative report, which lists all
<br /> previous items purchased as well as the two items requested in this Budget Amendment.
<br /> Staff Recommendation
<br /> Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the utilization of Project
<br /> Generated Income totaling $ 10, 552. 82 and authorize the attached Budget Amendment
<br /> necessary to release the funds .
