Commissioner Adams suggested moving the docks to the south because of seagrass <br />concerns. She also inquired about the manatee count which Mr. DeBlois advised would be <br />available when they are considering MPP amendments. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Neuberger, to approve staff's <br />recommendation and uphold MANWAC's denial. <br />Discussion ensued and Commissioner Lowther reiterated that he still believed there <br />should be a variance possible in this application. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried 4-1, Commissioner Lowther opposed. (The Board <br />upheld MANWAC's denial and approved staff's <br />recommendation that the County deny the proposed Palm Island <br />Plantation 14 -slip marina expansion.) <br />I LC.l. BID #5083 - SHOUTING RANGE LIGHTING AGREEMENT - <br />ACE ELECTRICAL SERVICE, INC. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Neuberger, the Board unanimously awarded Bid <br />##5083 to Ace Electrical Service, Inc., in the amount of <br />$72,560.07, as the lowest most responsive and responsible <br />bidder meeting the specifications as set forth in the Invitation to <br />Bid, and approved the sample agreement and authorized the <br />Chairman to execute said agreement when required <br />August 19, 2003 <br />
