TURNER - <br />REOUEST TO MAKE COMMENTS REGARDING THE PROPOSED, <br />SECTOR 7 BEACH RESTORATION PROJECT (SEAGROVE TO THE. <br />MOORINGS) <br />(Clerk's Note: In this item. Mr. Turner referred to a U.S. Army <br />Corps of Engineers' Scoping Meeting, held in the County <br />Commission Chambers, on July 23, 2003, to solicit comments <br />on issues and alternatives to be included in the Environmental <br />Impact Statement.) <br />Sid Turner, a resident of Indian River County, objected to the process used in a <br />meeting held in the Commission Chambers concerning Sector 7 (Seagrove to '"rhe <br />Moorings). He objected to this project because the County will be unable to obtain State <br />aid but the project will be funded through local option sales tax and the bed tax. He urged <br />the Commissioners to respect the public's wishes and possibly hold a referendum on the <br />question. <br />11.A. CONSIDERATION OF STAFF REPORT ON EXTENDING. <br />130TH STREET FOR ACCESS TO THE KIRRIE <br />INDUSTRIAL TRACT (FRED MENSING) <br />Chairman Macht asked County Attorney Collins to define what the Board of County <br />Commissioners can do regarding this issue concerning 129`' and 130" Streets, <br />County Attorney Collins explained that Mr. Kirrie has frontage on 129" Street which <br />would be his only direct access to a public road.
