2-7-o <br />re request to De on-"2l!Ohagenaa <br />Dear Mr Chandler <br />�- / <br />On behalf of the City of Sebastian,/1 would like an opportunity to address the County <br />Commission at us filly 24, 200f'meetrne concerning a industnal land use amendment <br />passed by the City Council on July 11* This land is located between 1291 Street and <br />Gibson Street just north of the Scrub Conservation Area and has been an issue between <br />our naffs over the last year <br />1 request the opportunity to explain the City's position on this matter. and ask for further <br />support and cooperanon as this amendment proceeds: Further, 1 woult like to approach <br />the subject of coordinated planning for this general area. <br />Thank you for your assistance in :hese regards. • <br />Respectfully, <br />Mich Stringer <br />City Attorney <br />Walter Barnes, Sebastian City Councilman, stated that Mr. Stringer had not yet <br />arrived and Mr. Barnes was unsure whether or not the question of access had been resolved. <br />Community Development Director Bob Keating stated that the access issue has not <br />been worked out. There was an exchange of letters last fall with the City identifying exactly <br />what needed to be done. Staff has not yet received any title work and the access issue cannot <br />be resolved by the County. This is a very complicated issue which needs to be examined <br />closely. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board, <br />by a 4-0 vote (Commissioner Adams absent) <br />unanimously deferred this item to a later date. <br />AUGUST 7, 2001 <br />BK 119 P3 068 <br />• <br />-55- <br />
