• • <br />RECOVIVIENDATION <br />• The structure of award for this bid was set up on an 'All or None" basis. Seven (7) vendors <br />met these requirements. Staff recommends that the bid be awarded to Janitorial Devot of <br />America Inc . Melbourne. FL as the overall lowest most responsive and responsible bidder <br />meeting specifications as set for in the Invitation to Bid. <br />• Establish an Open End Contract for the period October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003 <br />with the recommended award vendor. Last years expenditures totaled $47,740.00 and we <br />anticipate $50,000 expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year. The new bid prices reflect an <br />annual savings $252.86 against the current year prices. <br />• Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract for two (2) additional one (1) year <br />periods subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance and the <br />determination that renewal of this annual contract is in the best interest of the County. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously awarded Bid #5007 <br />to Janitorial Depot of America, Inc. and authorized the <br />establishment of an open end contract for the period October 1, <br />2002 through September 30, 2003 with the recommended award <br />vendor as recommended by staff in the Memorandum. <br />BID DOCUMENTS WILL BE ON FILE IN <br />THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />WHEN EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 2002 13 <br />'-4' <br />
