RE C OMl'IENDATI ON <br />Staff recommends awarding this bid as follows: <br />• Award an annual contract to General Elevator Sales and Service as the lowest most <br />responsive and responsible bidder meeting the specifications as set forth in the Invitation to <br />Bid. <br />• Establish an Open End Contract with recommended vendor for the period October 1, 2002 <br />through September 30, 2003. Year to date expenditures for this service total $19,762.00. The <br />new contract reflects a 30% savings over current year pnces. <br />• Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract for two (2) additional one (1) year <br />periods subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance and the <br />determination that renewal of this annual contract is in the best interest of the County. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously awarded Bid #5008 <br />to General Elevator Sales and Service under the terms as <br />recommended by staff in their Memorandum. <br />BID DOCUMENTS WILL BE ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />WHEN EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 2002 18 <br />
