<br /> Administrator Chandler announced the proposed budget for the Emergency Services
<br /> District was in the amount of $ 18 , 345 , 886 , an increase of about 5 . 9 % . The majority of the
<br /> expense increase is related to the expansion and provision of emergency medical services in
<br /> the Gifford area as well as additional personnel expense . The proposed millage is 2 . 3660 ,
<br /> which is 2 . 85 % above the rollback rate of 2 . 3005 , and approximately 5 % below the current
<br /> rate .
<br /> The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in
<br /> this matter . There were none .
<br /> No changes were proposed .
<br /> Assistant Administrator Baird read the title for the proposed resolution for the tax
<br /> millage rate for the Emergency Services District . The proposed millage rate exceeds the
<br /> rollback rate by 2 . 85 % and the millage rate proposed is 2 . 3660 .

<br /> Commissioner Tippin temporarily absent) adopted Resolution
<br /> No . 2001 - 091 establishing the tax millage rate (2 . 3660 ) to be

<br /> levied upon all real and personal taxable property in Indian
<br /> River County, Florida, for Fiscal Year 2001 - 2002 for the Indian
<br /> River County Emergency Services District .
