• <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends awarding this bid as follows: <br />• Award to Southeast Staffing Inc. as the lowest and most responsive bidder meeting the <br />specifications as set forth in the Invitation to Bid. <br />• Establish an Open End Contract for the period October 1, 2002. through September 30, 2003 <br />with recommended vendor. Last years expenditures totaled $125,000.00. The new year bid <br />prices reflect a 13% decrease against the 1996 prices of Bid # 7005 The projected <br />expenditures for 2003 are $110,000.00. <br />• Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract for two (2) additional one (1) year <br />periods subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance and the <br />determination that renewal of this annual contract is in the best interest of the County. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously awarded Bid <br />#5013 to Southeast Staffing, Inc. as the lowest and most <br />responsible bidder meeting the specifications as set forth in the <br />Invitation to Bid; authorized establishment of an Open End <br />contract for the period October 1, 2002 through September 30, <br />2003 with recommended vendor; and authorized the Purchasing <br />Manager to renew this contract for two (2) additional one (1) <br />year periods subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost <br />increase, vendor acceptance and the determination that renewal <br />of this annual contract is in the best interest of the County, as <br />recommended in the memorandum. <br />7.H.
