The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard in this matter . There being <br /> none , the Chairman closed the public hearing . <br /> MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Tippin , <br /> SECONDED by Commissioner Stanbridge , that the <br /> Board adopt the ordinance amending the Zoning <br /> Ordinance and the accompanying Zoning Map for <br /> ± 30 . 34 acres located on the north side of 26 `x' Street , <br /> approximately a quarter mile east of 74 ` ' Avenue <br /> from RMH - 8 , Mobile Home Residential District ( up <br /> to 8 units/acres ) to RM- 8 , Multiple -Family <br /> Residential District ( up to 8 units / acre) ( Thomas S . <br /> Hammond) . <br /> Commissioner Macht proposed that the project be limited to 6 units per acre to <br /> minimize the impact on the residential community , and Director Keating emphasized that if <br /> the property is rezoned, they would be entitled to the 8 units per acre density . <br /> Commissioner Macht noted that if this project were proposed anywhere else in the <br /> county , people would be objecting in large numbers . <br /> Commissioner Tippin felt the discussion was getting too far afield into societal issues <br /> and reminded the Board that the site plan will come back for approval . <br /> THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and <br /> the Motion passed by a 4 - 1 vote ( Commissioner <br /> Macht opposed ) .
