AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO WORK ORDER NO. 29 TO GEOSYNTEC <br /> TO IMPLEMENT THE FDEP APPROVED REMEDIAL ACTION <br /> PLAN MODIFICA TION A T THE FORMER SOUTH GIFFORD ROAD <br /> LANDFILL <br /> Himanshu Mehta, Managing Director, Solid Waste Disposal District, provided <br /> background on staff' s recommendation for approval of Amendment No . 2 to Work Order No . 29 <br /> with Geosyntec to implement the Remedial Action Plan Modification (RAPM) developed to <br /> mitigate the chlorinated volatile organic compound (CVOC) plume at the former South Gifford <br /> Road Landfill . He revealed that the FDEP approved the RAPM on September 20 , 2011 , and <br /> requested plan implementation by October 21 , 2011 . <br /> ON MOTION by Commissioner Flescher, SECONDED <br /> by Chairman Solari , the Board unanimously approved and <br /> authorized the Chairman to execute Amendment No . 2 to <br /> Work Order No . 29 authorizing Geosyntec Consultants , <br /> Inc . , to implement the Florida Department of <br /> Environmental Protection (FDEP) approved Remedial <br /> Action Plan Modification, with a not-to-exceed fee of <br /> $ 148 , 883 , as recommended in the memorandum of <br /> October 7 , 2011 . <br /> AGREEMENT ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />!
