COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) NEIGHBORHOOD <br />REVITALIZATION PROJECT - WEST WABASSO SEWER AND DRAINAGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1- PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO REDUCE THE <br />NUMBER OF HOOK-UPS AND RELATED BENEFICIARIES ESTIMATED AT <br />THE TIME OF APPLICATION (LEGISLATIVE) <br />PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />Director of Utility Services Vincent Burke recapped the January 6, 2014 memorandum, <br />providing background, conditions, and analysis for the Board to consider Modification 3 to the <br />Subgrant Agreement with the Department of Economic Opportunity to change the number of <br />accomplishments and/or beneficiaries. He thanked Deputy Teddy Floyd and Julianne Price for <br />their work in going door-to-door to obtain income survey information for the grant application. <br />Corbett Alday, Guardian Community Resource Management, Inc., Lakeland, Florida, <br />conveyed that this public hearing is to consider a modification to reduce the number of hookups <br />in a current Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) that was submitted in 2011. He <br />provided background and details relating to the West Wabasso Phase 1 Project, the grant budget, <br />the project area, and the status of the sewer mains and drainage facilities.
