These actual calculations are presented in <br />Table A-8. <br />Non -Residential Functional Population <br />Given the varying characteristics of non-residential land uses, developing the estimates of <br />functional residents for non-residential land uses is more complicated than developing <br />e stimated functional residents for residential land uses. Nelson and Nicholas originally <br />introduced a method for estimating functional .resident population, now used <br />`�. <br />internationally'. <br />. This method uses trip generation data from.the Institute of Transportation <br />Engineers' (ITE) Trip Generation Manual and.
