Baird, County Administrator <br />From: Vincent Burke, P.E., Director of Utility Services g <br />Prepared By: Arjuna Weragoda, P.E., Capital Projects Manager Aid <br />Subject: <br />Indian River Aerodrome Subdivision- Assessment Results <br />Indian River County Project No: UCP 4100 <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: <br />On August 20th, 2013, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) directed staff <br />to move forward with surveying and design for the proposed aerodrome water line project Staff <br />authorized Indian River Survey, Inc. a sister company of MBV Engineering, Inc. to complete the <br />topographic survey of the subdivision. The purpose was to complete the topographic survey so <br />that utilities could design the system, prepare cost estimates and present to the aerodrome <br />residents. The survey was completed on October 25th, 2013. 'A 90% design was completed by <br />Indian River County Department of Utility Services (IRCDUS) staff mid November, 2013. <br />The findings were presented to the Indian River Aerodrome Subdivision residents on Sunday <br />November 24th, 2013. The presentation was held at Mr. & Mrs. Dolan's hanger located at 265 <br />Neiuport Drive. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />On November 25th, 2013, an information packet was sent by certified mail and by email to all the <br />residents in the assessment district. The packet included a cover letter outlining the cost, assessment <br />boundary map, estimated monthly expenses, financing options and a survey form. The deadline to <br />return the survey form was December 16th, 2013 with either "VES -In Favor of the Indian River <br />Aerodrome Water Assessment Project" or "No -Not in Favor of the Indian River Aerodrome Water <br />Assessment Project" checked.
