DERYL LOAR - FORFEITURE TRUST <br /> FUND <br /> Sheriff Deryl Loar provided a brief background on the Florida Contraband Forfeiture <br /> Act, which requires that no less than 15 % of fiscal year forfeiture proceeds be expended or <br /> donated to support the operation of drug treatment, drug abuse education, drug prevention, crime <br /> prevention, safe neighborhood, or school resource officer programs . He requested the proceeds <br /> be expended to the local nonprofits as listed on pages 46 and 47 of the Agenda Packet. <br /> ON MOTION by Commissioner O ' Bryan, SECONDED <br /> by Vice Chairman Wheeler, the Board unanimously <br /> approved that $ 10, 522 . 28 from the Law Enforcement <br /> Trust Fund be used to support the following programs and <br /> agencies : ( 1 ) $2 , 000 . 00 to the 2 - 1 - 1 Palm Beach/Treasure <br /> Coast Agency; (2) $2 , 522 . 28 to support Crime Stoppers <br /> of the Treasure Coast ; (3 ) $ 1 , 000 . 00 to A Child is <br /> Missing ; (4) $ 1 , 000 . 00 to support the Neighborhood <br /> Watch Program ; (5 ) $ 1 , 500 to the Substance Awareness <br /> Council ; $ 1 , 500 to the Mental Health Collaborative ; and <br /> $ 1 , 000 to the annual Florida Missing Children ' s Day <br /> ceremony ; all as requested in the letter of February 7 , <br /> 2011 , <br /> February 15 , 2011 7 <br />
