SAMBASAFETY <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Flescher, SECONDED <br />by Vice Chairman Davis, the Board unanimously <br />approved the purchase of SAMBASafety, a driver <br />management program, at a first year cost of $9,468.00, <br />with renewals of $12,500 annually, as recommended in <br />the memorandum of January 23, 2014. <br />8.K. APPROVAL OF BID AWARD FOR IRC BID No, 2014009, INDIAN RIVER <br />BOULEVARD RESURFACING (U.S. 1 TO 17TH STREET) <br />Althea McKenzie, 2405 16th Avenue, sought and received information from Public <br />Works Director Chris Mora, regarding the contract with Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. for <br />the resurfacing project the engineer's price estimate, the Florida Department of Transportation <br />Small County Outreach Program Grant, and whether the grant funds could be used for secondary <br />roads and/or 45th Street. She also requested that staff provide her a schedule that shows when the <br />different sections of Indian River Boulevard were resurfaced. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Flescher, SECONDED <br />by Vice Chairman Davis, the Board unanimously: <br />(1) approved the bid award to Ranger Construction <br />Industnes, Inc. of Fort Pierce, as the lowest most <br />responsive and responsible bidder meeting the <br />specifications as set forth in the Invitation to bid; <br />(2) approved the sample Agreement, including Change <br />February 4, 2014 9 <br />
