ON MOTION by Commissioner Flescher, SECONDED <br />by Vice Chairman Davis, the Board unanimously <br />approved Resolution 2014-010, approving the transmittal <br />of a proposed Indian River County Comprehensive Plan <br />Future Land Use Map Amendment to State and Regional <br />Review Agencies. <br />10.B. PUBLIC DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />1O.B.1. REQUEST TO SPEAK FROM CHARLES WILSON, VERO BEACH CHAMBER <br />OF COMMERCE REGARDING INFORMATION ON VERO BEACH CHAMBER <br />OF COMMERCE <br />Charlie Wilson provided the Board with information regarding the formation and <br />mission of the new Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce, and their motto to "Think Vero First." <br />He stated that he would appoint a representative from his Chamber to sit on the Enterprise Zone <br />Development Agency and/or Economic Development Council, if they so wished He also <br />clarified that his company is a 501(C)6 tax-exempt business. <br />NO BOARD ACTION REQUIRED OR TAKEN <br />10.B.2. ADDITION: REQUEST TO SPEAK FROM SUSAN MEHIEL REGARDING THE <br />TREASURE COAST REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL AND SEVENS() <br />Susan Mehiel, 131 Laurel Oak Lane, voiced concern over the additional trains that will <br />pass through Vero Beach when Amtrak starts its high-speed passenger rail service; citizens <br />paying for the capital infrastructure improvements; and the Seven50 Long -Range Strategic <br />Regional Planning Report. She did not want the County to support the Treasure Coast Regional <br />Planning Council (TCRPC) with tax dollars since the organization supports the Seven50. <br />February 4, 2014 13 <br />
