Smith, Clerk of the Circuit Court &Comptroller <br />DATE* January 24, 2014 <br />SUBJECT: Dori Slosberg Driver Education Safety Act <br />Indian River County Traffic Education Program Trust Fund <br />Financial Report for Period Ending 12-31-13 <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 20, 2002, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance Number 2002-026 <br />creating the Indian River County Traffic Education Program Trust Fund (our fund 137). This <br />ordinance authorized a $3 traffic ticket surcharge, which is collected by the Clerk of the Circuit <br />Court On September 19, 2006, the Board adopted Ordinance 2006-035 to repeal this fine. <br />Attached to this memo is a report of the revenues and expenditures from the inception of the $3 <br />fee (October 1, 2002) through December 31, 2013.
