<br />Association; Bert Mansfield and Attorney W. T. Erickson representing the Indian River County
<br />Retail Beverage Dealers Association, and Many others were present. All of the aforementioned
<br />representatives together with Bert LeBase of Wabasso participated in the discussion pertaining
<br />to the regulation of the hours of sale of alcoholic beverages in Indian !liver County including
<br />all municipalities. However, after all of the discussion pro and con there was no action
<br />taken by the Board,
<br />The Board accepted the resignation of Ben F. Wyman, Jr., A.I. D., Director of,
<br />the Indian River County Health Unit, effective September la, 1953.
<br />The matter of resolution pertaining to the business of platting and subdividing
<br />lands was postponed.
<br />A letter from Larry Hamilton requesting the Board build a road to his grove wase
<br />received, read and ordered filed.
<br />Notary Public Bond for Ernest H. Everett in the sum of $5UO, 00 with American
<br />Fire and Casualty Company as surety was approved September 21, by Douglas Baker, Clerk Circuit,
<br />Cour.t as provided by law.

<br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian !liver County met at the

<br />a Special Meeting at 10:00 o'clock A. M., Friday, September 25, 1953, with
<br />the
<br />following
<br />members present: Commissioners W. C. Graves, Jr., Aubrey L. Waddell, H.
<br />C. watts,
<br />J. J. P.
<br />Hamilton, and Allison Warren. Also present were George Heath, Attorney;
<br />E. E. Cartery
<br />Road and
<br />Bridge Superintendent; L. B. G'Steen, Sheriff; and Douglas Baker, Clerk.
<br />Chairman Graves announced this meeting was called for the purpose

<br />1952-1953 budget and further discussion of all interested parties regarding
