15.112. AMENDMENT NO.2 TO REPUBLIC SERVICES FOR LANDFILL <br />DITCH ENHANCEMENT PROJECT <br />Commissioner O'Bryan disagreed with staff's rationale for choosing Golder Associates, <br />Inc. (Golder) the second lowest bidder, instead of Treasure Coast Construction Management, <br />L C (TCCM), the lowest bidder. <br />Golder. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner O'Bryan, <br />SECONDED by Vice Chairman Davis, to: (1) approve <br />and authorize the Chairman to execute the Second <br />Amendment to Republic Services landfill contract to <br />administer the Ditch Enhancement Project at a not to <br />exceed pnce of $199,894.54; and (2) authorize the Solid <br />Waste Disposal District to utilize Treasure Coast <br />Construction Management, L C. (TCCM) through <br />Republic Services of Florida, as the general contractor for <br />proj ect. <br />Director of Utilities Vincent Burke explained why staffs recommendation had been for <br />Todd Westover, Republic Services/Treasure Coast Refuse, vouched for TCCM's work. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION, and the <br />Motion carred unanimously. <br />April 2, 2013 <br />Solid Waste Disposal District <br />2 BK 143 P6 687 <br />
