CONDEMNATION, DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF UNSAFE <br /> STRUCTURES <br /> Jose Guanch, County Building official , recapped the memorandum of April 25 , 2011 , to <br /> provide a description of two unsafe structures located at 3770 69`x' Street and 1346 16"' Avenue . <br /> He affirmed that the properties pose a public safety hazard , and asked the Board to approve their <br /> demolition and removal . <br /> Commissioner Davis asked staff to include in future demolition requests , information on <br /> the current ownership of the property , so the County can determine the status of its lien . <br /> ON MOTION by Commissioner Davis , SECONDED by <br /> Commissioner Flescher , the Board unanimously : ( 1 ) <br /> declared the subject structures unsafe and a nuisance , and <br /> ordered the buildings demolished with related debris <br /> removed from the property by a private vendor approved <br /> through standard bid procedures , as recommended in the <br /> memorandum of April 25 , 2011 ; and (2) approved <br /> Resolution 2011 - 033 , providing for the demolition of <br /> unsafe structures and the recovery of costs . <br /> 12.
