ON MOTION by Commissioner O ' Bryan , SECONDED by <br /> Vice Chairman Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br /> the Minutes of the Regular Meetings of February 15 , 2011 <br /> and March 8 , 2011 , as written . <br /> 15, B. 3. REJECTION OF BIDS FOR BID NO. 2011026 AND AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO <br /> WORK ORDER NO. 9 TO CAMP DRESSER AND MCKEE FOR ENGINEERING <br /> SERVICES RELATED TO THE NEW OSLO CUSTOMER CONVENIENCE CENTER <br /> Himanshu Mehta, Managing Director SWDD , recapped the memorandum of April 10 , <br /> 2011 , to provide background and analysis pertaining to construction of the new Oslo Customer <br /> Convenience Center (CCC) on the old Oslo dump site adjacent to the existing facility . He <br /> reported that based on staff s initial plan to replicate the raised ramp system at the new Fellsmere <br /> CCC , staff had received bids for construction of the new facility that were not financially <br /> feasible . He explained that subject to Board approval , Camp Dresser & McKee , Inc . ( CDM) <br /> would provide an engineering analysis of an alternate design , based on a " flat" on grade -type <br /> facility (similar to one in Marion County) , which staff and CDM envision could be done less <br /> expensively . He asked the Board to approve the rejection of the received bids for the new CCC , <br /> and to approve Amendment No . 2 to Work Order No . 9 with CDM , for additional engineering <br /> services . <br /> MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Flescher , <br /> SECONDED by Commissioner Davis , to approve staff s <br /> recommendation . <br /> May 3 , 2011 2 <br /> S .W .D .D . <br />
