8.K. Work Order No. 2 Coastal Planning and Engineering, Inc. Sector 3 <br />Beach and Dune Restoration Repair - Post Hurricane Sandy Design <br />and Permitting Services <br />Commissioner O'Bryan had concerns regarding the work schedule timeline. <br />Director of Public Works Chris Mora and Coastal Engineer James D. Gray, Jr., <br />responded to questions from the Board. <br />Commissioner Solari had no problem waiting a year to begin this project and asked the <br />Board to consider it. <br />A lengthy discussion ensued regarding past years cost over budget, and the Board became <br />hesitant to move forward with staffs timeline. <br />Vice Chairman Davis filed Form 8B Memorandum of Voting Conflict, and abstained <br />from the vote. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Solari, by a 4-0 vote (Vice Chairman Davis <br />abstained), the Board unanimously approved and authorized <br />the Chairman to execute Work Order No. 2 to the contact <br />with Coastal Planning and Engineering Inc. for Sector 3 <br />Beach and Dune Restoration Repair — Post Humcane Sandy, <br />with the caveat that staff closely monitor the work to see <br />that it is done expeditiously. <br />DOCUMENTS ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />June 18, 2013 <br />8 <br />43 PG 9.55 <br />
