Commissioners sending the letters of support requested by Peg Ryan of the Conservation • <br /> Leaders Network . He reiterated staff s support for the EPA to continue applying a "nexus" test <br /> to determine the applicability of CWA regulations for specific waterways and adjacent bodies of <br /> water. <br /> Commissioner Davis expressed support for staff to create and send a letter expressing <br /> their viewpoint on retaining the "nexus " test . <br /> Director Olson advised that he wanted to work with the County Attorney on the letter. <br /> ON MOTION by Commissioner Davis, SECONDED by <br /> Chairman Solari , the Board unanimously : ( 1 ) approved to <br /> NOT SUPPORT the initiative to revert back to the original <br /> Clean Water Act (CWA) regulation guidelines, thus <br /> allowing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to <br /> continue applying a "nexus " test for determining the <br /> applicability of CWA regulations to specific waterways <br /> and adjacent bodies of water ; and (2) directed staff to be <br /> proactive and send a letter reflecting staff s position on <br /> allowing the "nexus " test to continue . <br /> 13.
