MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Solari, <br />SECONDED by Chairman Flescher, to direct the Utility <br />Department to analyze the distance of all abutting 66th Avenue <br />properties and bring specific recommendations back to the <br />Board <br />County Attorney Dylan Reingold clarified the motion, and questioned if Commissioner <br />Solari intended to include the cost-sharing factor. <br />MOTION WAS AMENDED by Commissioner Solari, <br />SECONDED by Chairman Flescher, to include the condition <br />that any property owner requesting a water extension would <br />have to pay for the extension. <br />Commissioner Zorc suggested that staff have a better thought process when looking at a <br />long term road plan and including a utility component in that plan, as well as a cost-sharing <br />agreement that would benefit the system. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the Motion <br />carried unanimously. The Board approved Option 3, to amend <br />the County Comprehensive Plan to incorporate an additional <br />exemption to the County's prohibition of extending utility <br />service outside the Urban Service Areas to allow properties <br />adjacent to an existing utility line to connect to the County <br />utility system, and directed Utility Department staff to analyze <br />the distance and cost, and bring back to the Board specific <br />recommendations. <br />12.B.
