Commissioner Davis mentioned he was not averse to having someone in the <br /> Commission Office monitor the committee member terms, provided the County Attorney was <br /> ready to resolve any questions/issues . <br /> Attorney Polackwich advised he would leave blank the designation for the Monitor until <br /> the Board re-examines this matter in September 2011 . He emphasized, however, that it would be <br /> best for one designated individual to handle the task. <br /> The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION, and the <br /> Motion carried . The Board unanimously : ( 1 ) authorized <br /> staff to provide notice for a public hearing to be held in <br /> September 2011 , regarding the proposed Ordinance <br /> pertaining to Commissions and Boards and directed staff <br /> to finalize the proposed Ordinance ; and (2) directed staff <br /> to finalize the proposed Resolution, including wording <br /> stating that all members that are appointed by the County <br /> Commission serve at the will of the County Commission, <br /> re- establishing the terms of members of certain boards and <br /> committees and establishing a process to monitor terms in <br /> the future, with no individual/s to be appointed to monitor <br /> committee terms going forward until this item is brought <br /> back in September 2011 . <br /> D . QUASI-JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS <br /> Attorney Polackwich, through review of his August 1 , 2011 memorandum, provided <br /> background and analysis on staff' s request to adopt written guidelines for the quasi judicial <br /> hearings of the Board of County Commissioners .
