Daniel Lamson read a statement supporting the project. <br />Andrew Kennedy, 2050 US Highway 1, Suite 200, Project Developer, used a <br />PowerPoint Presentation to give a comprehensive overview of the project. <br />Bruce Barkett, representing Providence Pointe Vero Beach LLC, advised that <br />Providence Pointe is envisioned primarily as a long-term rental community, a new concept for <br />Indian River County. He projected the commencement date to be June 2014, if the project is <br />approved by the Board. Mr. Barkett also recognized the founder and CEO of Providence Point, <br />Joseph J. Barile, who was present in the audience. <br />Jane Schnee, 1022 Foster Rd., Sebastian, stated that this might be a good time to get <br />more native plantings into new developments. <br />Todd W. Bonnett, Bonnett Design Group, spoke about sustainability, and disclosed that <br />the design team plans to use drought -tolerant and native plants in the landscaping. <br />There being no additional speakers, the Chairman closed the Public Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Solari, SECONDED by <br />Chairman Flescher the Board unanimously: (1) adopted <br />Ordinance 2013-011, amending the Zoning Ordinance <br />and the accompanying Zoning Map from A-1 Agricultural <br />1 (up to 1 unit/5 acres), and RS -3, Residential Single - <br />Family (up to 3 units/acre), to PDTND, Planned <br />Development Traditional Neighborhood Design, for <br />approximately 186.33 acres of land generally located <br />south of 53rd Street, west of 58th Avenue, and north of 49th <br />Street and described herein and providing for an effective <br />August 20, 2013 34 <br />EX 144PG212 <br />
