ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Flescher, the Board unanimously <br />approved the contract award to the lowest bidder, Timothy <br />Rose Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $105,564.67, for <br />re -construction and re -alignment of the northbound left <br />turn lane on Indian River Boulevard, as recommended in <br />the memorandum of August 31, 2011. <br />CONTRACT ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />12..I. APPROVAL OFAMENDMENT #I TO WORK ORDER WITH GEOSYNTEC FOR <br />GROUND WATER ASSESSMENT AND MONITORING PROPOSAL FOR OLD <br />SAVANNAH LIFT STATION <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Flescher, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner O'Bryan, to approve <br />staff's recommendation. <br />Director of Utility Services Erik Olson informed the Board that this project, since January <br />21, 2011, and with the approval of this work order, will total $29,898.00. <br />Chairman Solari voiced a concern that roughly $300.00 worth of gas was spilled, then the <br />County spent $4,000.00 to do the right thing for remediation, and now it is up to $25,000.00 to <br />make the regulatory agencies happy that the County did the right thing. <br />Director Olson assured the Chairman that Geosyntec had promised that this would be <br />their last request. <br />September 13, 2011 24 <br />
