r440 <br />the day by various activities, including Memorial Services to be held at the hour of 11:00 <br />A.M.; and, 1 <br />WHEREAS, the County of Indian River, by and through its Board of County <br />Commissioners is vitally interested in the veterans' affairs; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the County•of Indian River, by and <br />through its Board of County Commissioners, commends the veterans' organizations for their <br />activities and requests that the County agencies and employees cooperate in any way possible r, <br />in the furtherance of this celebration. <br />BE IT•FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be posted at the East <br />front door of the Courthouse. <br />S1 W. Graves, Jr. <br />Chairman, Board of County <br />Commissioners <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were <br />examined and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such <br />bills and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants <br />so issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book as provided <br />by the rules of the State Auditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being <br />made a part of these minutes. <br />The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipts and dis- <br />bursements of the various funds, which have been audited, were found to be correct. <br />There being no further business, on motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Board then adjourned. <br />d4aft- <br />C HA I R MA <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />THURSDAY. OCTOBER 7. 1954 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, met at the Courthouse <br />at Vero Beach, Indian River Countyg in -a -special meeting at 11:00 o'clock A. M.,. Thursday, <br />October 7, 1954, with the following members present: Commissioners W. C. Graves, Jr., Chair- <br />man; Aubrey L. Waddell; J. J. P. Hamilton; H. C Watts and Allison Warren. Also present <br />were E. E. Carter, road and Bridge Superintendent, S. N. Smith, Jr., Attorney, and Douglas <br />Baker, Clerk, <br />Chairman Graves announced this meeting was called for the purpose of dis- <br />cussing matters and problems brought about by the sudden death of Sheriff L. B.
