i <br />1 <br />1 <br />TUESDAY, AUGUST 2nd 1929. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met <br />at the Court House in Vero Beach, on Tuesday, August 2nd 1927, with the following <br />members of the Board present: John H. Atkin, Chairman; Geo. A. Braddock; J.WeLaBruce <br />and J. J. P. Hamilton. ,Also present were Riles Marren, Clerk and J.W.Knight,Sheriff. <br />The minutes of the previous meetings were zead and approved. <br />C. E. Berg appeared before the Board and offered the Campbell ;Arcade Building <br />to the County for a Court House for the purchase price of V10090.00.00, which offer <br />was taken under consideration. <br />it was ordered that the road leading fztxx Roseland be repaired at once, <br />The Board accepted the report of the Quay Bridge District Commissioners, and <br />cheek for balance cash on hand in the sum of $4,919.50 was received, and statement of <br />$1,483.31 in the Farmers Bank for Interest & Sinking Funds and an over -draft of $180'81 <br />a <br />of the General Fund in the same bank. <br />R. E. Barker, bridge tender of the Vero Bridge :District was ordered paid the <br />monthly salary of X75.00 each month .for such services. It was further ordered that the <br />City be given the police power and authority over the bridge as it is within the <br />incorporated limits of the City of Vero Beach. <br />The Deputy Sheriff bond of T.H.Sheffield in the sun of $1,000.00 with I.S. <br />Coleman and Donald Forbes as sureties was approved. <br />The several bills against the County having been audited, were-ez.amined, and <br />found correct and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. Such bills and accounts <br />being on file in the office of the Clerk ani which by reference thereto is made a part <br />of these minutes. <br />The 'Several County Depositories filed their monthly statement of accounts <br />of the various funds of the County, which having been audited and examined were found <br />to- be correct. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and earried the <br />Board then adjourned until the regular meeting in September. <br />ATTES <br />C 1 e r k. <br />11 <br />al rman <br />
