Boys & Girls Club of Indian River County, Inc. - Youth Volunteer Corps <br /> Grant Application to the Children Services Advisory Committee <br /> measure effectiveness of the YVC ' s presence at their site and honestly evaluate the program. <br /> YVC Staff/ Team Leader Weekly Activity Sheets : This form is required by the program <br /> director to evaluate the productivity and effectiveness of each YVC Staff Team Leader. <br /> Journals : In the PALS program, the tutor and the- tutee is required to place a daily entry into their <br /> journals. This is used to track the impact on both parties from the experience and to measure <br /> personal and academic growth. Even if the Tutee is not able to write, single drawings or words <br /> learned can serve as an effective tool of measurement. <br /> In the PATHWAYS program, each student is required to write directly from reflective <br /> activities and share feelings about personal growth and observations from the program. The <br /> student is directed to report activities so a measurement of effectiveness can be identified . <br /> Advisory Councils : <br /> • YVC Youth Advisory Council : This group is made up of 12 involved Youth Volunteers <br /> who represent the spectrum of ages and socioeconomic backgrounds that are representative <br /> in the Indian River County Area. They meet monthly to discuss past and future projects . <br /> Much time is spent in both the evaluation process and the project planning process . <br /> • Youth Volunteer Corps Advisory Council : This group is made up of 12 adult members of <br /> the community who represent the spectrum of socioeconomic backgrounds that are <br /> representative in the Indian River County area. Two or three youth volunteers are present at <br /> each meeting to represent the youth. Much time is spent in both the evaluation process and <br /> the project planning process . <br /> 3 . REPORTING: What will you do with this information to show that change has <br /> occurred ? How will you use or present these results to the consumer, the funder, the <br /> program, and the community ? How will you use this information to improve your <br /> program ? <br /> Data elements will be collected : <br /> • Team Leaders will track daily attendance and number of volunteer hours completed at <br /> community service projects . <br /> • The Program Assistant will compile daily data collected by team leaders and track <br /> Americorp hours completed by team leaders . <br /> • The Program Director will track weekly by the <br /> • The Director of Operations monthly by the <br /> • The Executive Director will receive quarterly and annual reports. <br /> 12 <br />
