<br />Pursuant to request, Sherman N. Smith, Jr., Attorney, submitted a memorandum 
<br />to the press and radio advising the Board had requested the Sheriff to make periodic inspections 
<br />of County dumps and to enforce the law providing for the people to dump garbage county dumps 
<br />and calling attention to Section 8;21.36 Florida Statutes, wherein a person violating the pro- 
<br />visions of this law shall be punished by a fine of not more than $50.00. or not more than one 
<br />month, or by both fine and imprisonment, and Douglas Baker, Clerk was instructed to prepare a 
<br />notice for the Press Journal and the Indian River News regarding this matter, and that said 
<br />notice be signed by Sam T. Joyce, Sheriff of Indian River County. Florida.
