Exhibits $ 8 ,648 <br /> TOTAL CONTRACT: $ 1504000 <br /> Purpose: <br /> Design and construction of a historical interpretive and educational display called Kitching Station Railhead on the <br /> Indian River County North County Regional Park (part of the St. Sebastian River State Buffer Preserve) . The <br /> project will educate the public about railroad history, interpret one of the oldest railroad sites in east central Florida, <br /> and serve as a trail head for a proposed pedestrian trail along the railroad grade within the county park. <br /> Project Tasks : <br /> 1 . Providing all materials and labor necessary to design and construct the proposed Kitching Station Railhead to <br /> include : <br /> a) Constructing a replica of a 1920 ' s era railroad depot containing various exhibits, signs, kiosks, and other <br /> media that would allow visitors to view, reminisce, or interact with the area ' s rich and diverse history. <br /> b) Providing parking, landscaping, and other amenities as necessary. (Parking to be provided at existing <br /> county park facilities) <br /> c) Developing a trail system along a section of the railroad grade within the county park utilizing the railroad <br /> depot as a trailhead. <br /> 2 . Coordinating design and construction of the proposed railhead with Buffer Preserve staff. <br /> 3 . Obtaining all necessary permits and approvals prior to initiating construction. <br /> 4. Providing administrative oversight of the project, including the preparation of any bid documents, <br /> contractor/subcontractor agreements, or other items necessary to complete the project. <br /> 5 . Ensuring all tenants of the sublease agreement between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, <br /> Office of Coastal and Aquatic Managed Areas and Indian River County for the North County Regional Park are <br /> followed, including any items identified in the approved management plan for the county park. <br /> DEP Agreement No. S0017, Attachment A-1 , Page 1 of 1 <br />
