Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall bear the name and <br />address of the bidder on the outside and the words "Oslo Road (CR 606) / Lateral "J" Canal <br />Bridge Replacement, Bid #2006041 ". Bids mailed in should be addressed to Purchasing <br />Division, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960. Bids hand delivered should be <br />addressed to 2525 St. Lucie Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida 32960. All bids will be opened <br />publicly and read aloud at 2:00 PM. All bids received after 2:00 P.M., of the day specified <br />above, will be returned unopened. <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO, 9705B <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BID NO. 2006041 <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Oslo Road (CR606) / Lateral "J" Canal Bridge Replacement <br />All material and equipment furnished and all work performed shall be in strict accordance <br />with the plans, specifications, and contract documents pertaining thereto, which may be <br />obtained from Capital Projects Division, 2nd Floor County Administration Building, 1840 25th <br />Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960, (772) 226-1384. Copies of the plans and specifications <br />containing the necessary contract documents may be obtained by deposit of a check made <br />payable to Indian River County, in the amount of $75.00 for each set, which represents cost of <br />printing, handling, and mailing and which is non refundable. <br />All bids shall be submitted in duplicate on the Bid Proposal forms provided within the <br />specifications. A BID BOND must accompany each Bid, and be properly executed by the <br />Bidder and by a qualified surety, or certified check or cashier's check on any bank authorized to <br />do business in the State of Florida, in the sum of not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total <br />y <br />amount bid, made payable to Indian River County Board of County Commissioners. In the <br />event the Contract is awarded to the Bidder, he will enter into a Contract with the County and <br />furnish the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond. If he fails to do so, he shall forfeit <br />the said bid Bond as liquidated damages.
